Gilmer’s only sports bar and grill has moved into town! An extension of Duds on the lake, Dud’s on the Range has a nice menu that includes breakfast, standard “bar and grill” type fare but stepped up to almost a gourmet level for some offerings. Menu (from their official site is below).

Dud’s is a great place to watch a football game on a large screen and enjoy an alcoholic beverage, you can have fresh fried catfish or a burger and fries, you can even have amazing hand made pizzas and follow it up with a mouth-watering dessert. This place has been here a long time, on the road behind McDonalds, they offer a wide variety of home cooked dishes. Check out their facebook page to see how the menu changes. It was formerly Lori’s which was extremely popular.

Gilmer’s ONLY sports Bar and Grill. Watch the game on one of the 13 65′ inch screens. Pub style, featuring a bar menu, variety of amazing sandwiches, as well as chicken fried steak, salmon, salad, and thick cut steaks to start.

Dud’s on the Lake has a wide variety of items on the menu, a full service bar and local specialty drinks. Happy Hour is celebrated from 4PM-6PM daily, BOGO drinks! Dud’s is a private club that is required to have membership in order to sell alcohol in this precinct of Upshur County. You may buy your membership at Dud’s for $3.00 for one year of membership. Follow us on social media for specials, game night information, and lots of events! Private room that can handle 15 is available.

Krawdaddys Crawfish Shop

Texas is a big state (no! Really??) and most people may not think of crawfish as a local favorite when they think of Texas cuisine. But here in Gilmer we are close enough to Louisiana that we get that good cajun cooking coming across the border and infused right into our soul.

Krawdaddy’s has quickly become a favorite local spot for excellent crawfish and shrimp. And at the time of this writing they don’t have their license yet to sell alcohol … you know what that means … FREE BEER!!
